Applications

Fabric specified by end use, not by catalogue

Uniform programmes, load carriage, protective equipment and shelter systems each put different demands on a woven fabric. We start from the end use and work back to the construction.
01

Military uniforms

Combat and service uniforms need colour fastness, dimensional stability and a hand that survives repeated industrial washing. We supply NYCO twills, ripstops and polyester-cotton blends with IRR treatment where required.
NYCO 50/50 twill
Ripstop in nylon and polyester
IRR treated options
Colour matching to standard
02

Tactical gear and load carriage

Packs, pouches and plate carriers are abrasion-limited, not weather-limited. Heavy oxfords from 500D to 1680D give the surface life the equipment needs, with PU coating for water resistance and dimensional stability.
500D - 1680D oxford
PU and PVC coating
Bartack and stitch-holding tested
Laser-cut compatible
03

Waterproof shells

Shell garments balance water column, breathability and packability. Two-layer laminates suit general issue; three-layer constructions suit multi-season and professional use where the membrane must survive abrasion from the inside.
2L and 3L laminates
10,000 - 15,000 mm water column
Seam tape compatibility
DWR durability testing
04

Protective equipment

Protective and functional platforms cover flame resistance, cut and abrasion resistance and high-tenacity reinforcement. Substrate and finish are chosen against the specific hazard and the standard it is tested to.
Flame resistant wovens
High-tenacity reinforcement
Abrasion-resistant panels
Custom finishing routes
